Waiting to go on Ric Taylor's radio program on CFMU 93.3 FM at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, were Edgar Breau (Simply Saucer) and I. Edgar said that everything I did reminded him of Yorkville (the almost mythical area of Toronto which was once a breeding ground for counter-culture and especially musical activity). That was a great compliment because I'd spent a lot of time travelling in to Toronto in my late teens to visit that fabled 'scene'. It inspired me to write a song about it - and later put an entire album together trying to capture that 'feel'.
